Govt. Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis Hospital is established in 1955 just opposite the Medical College Hospital Complex. This hospital is associated with Govt. Medial College, Jammu.  Chest Disease Hospital has the capacity of 200 beds with all the modern amenities and equipments available.

 FACILITIES AVAILABLE:

It has both Out Patient & Indoor Section, Out Patient Section has facilities for diagnosis and out patient dispensary for free treatment and follow-up clinic.                                   

Indoor facility comprises of male and female wards with special ward for intensive care treatment, and Minor Operation Theatre where Chest procedures like pleural aspiration, Intercostal Intubations, Pleural Biopsies and FNAC are done.

 Various specialized diagnostic tests available are Fibreoptic Bronchoscopy, Lung Function Tests, Blood Gas Analysis. E.C.G, Ultrasound with Ultrasound guided interventional procedures in Chest, Polysomnography in Sleep Lab.

 Separate Radiology & Laboratory section for all tests including Elisa for HIV. are available.
